About Feezy
Feezy is a B2B SaaS marketplace operating in the $430Bn international education sector. We connect universities with trusted recruitment agents, enabling direct commission negotiation and digital contracting at scale. Our platform has users in over 80 countries, and we're building the tools that will fundamentally modernise how a sector still running on 1990s processes manages its most significant commercial relationships.
We're lean, fast-moving, and serious about shipping things that matter to real users.
Agent users enter our product at feezy.io . University users enter via hecomply.com . These are two sides of the same platform.
Sector Overview
International student recruitment operates on a 30-year-old sourcing model. Universities rely on agents to find most of their new international students, and agents are paid a finder-fee-commission in return. This commission is defined in 12-month or longer offline contracts, meaning no digital price competition amongst agents, or responsive pricing based on supply/demand conditions, is possible.
Individual universities can spend $50M+ or even $100M+ every year on these commissions. Feezy was created to drive optimised commission pricing, though this digital model enables multiple other benefits (e.g. diversified classrooms, and earlier access to finite supply).
We're a modern B2B marketplace paired with SaaS enablement, in a challenged sector increasing its adoption of innovative solutions. Our product offering continues to evolve, and we remain early-stage.
The Opportunity
We're growing our engineering team and looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who is genuinely AI-native, someone who uses AI tooling as a daily force multiplier, and who can integrate LLM-powered features directly into our product.
You'll work across the full stack on a modern, AWS-serverless architecture, take ownership of technical decisions, and help shape how we build as we scale. This is a high-autonomy role with meaningful influence over product and platform direction, not a ticket-completion job.
We’ve built an AI-enabled integrated digital contracting layer (DocuSign) enabling any user to store and renew contractual terms in-platform. We have early integrations with users’ pipeline data (incl. Zoho) and we aim to connect more data sources, quickly.
Our repository contains thousands of agreements packed with valuable, underutilised pricing and commission information; we see an opportunity to engineer AI-native analytical tools that extract direct value from this data set for users’ benefit.
You will be integral to these rapid, high-quality outputs.
Here, John Connolly, Cofounder & CEO, gives a brief intro to the product to help you understand the opportunity (note: any contract data we show is non-genuine, since we overwrite real terms with false values):
What You’ll Do
- Build new features end-to-end across frontend and backend
- Integrate LLM APIs and AI capabilities directly into product features; not as experiments, but as shipped, production functionality beyond V1 standard
- Contribute to architectural decisions and establish strong engineering practices
- Prototype rapidly, test rigorously, and iterate
- Take ownership of platform performance, cost management, and reliability
- Stay close to users; you’ll use the product, talk to customers, and feed insights back into what you build
- Drive rapid learning and experimentation cycles
- Work collaboratively with a small, focused team in AU where your output is visible and your judgement is trusted
Technical Skills & Experience
You will be confident working across the stack and enthusiastic about learning fast:
Core Technologies:
- Python
- TypeScript and React
- GraphQL
- Infra-as-code (e.g. Terraform, CDK)
- AWS serverless; Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3
- Git and CI/CD workflows
- Architecting and deploying RESTful and GraphQL APIs alongside external service integrations; proven ability to navigate and build within microservices or distributed architectures.
AI & LLM Experience (evidenced, not just claimed):
- Production integration of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent)
- RAG pipeline implementation, including embedding, chunking, and vector store integration (e.g. pgvector, Pinecone, or similar)
- Prompt engineering applied to real product features
- Agentic workflow design (tool-use, multi-step reasoning) is a strong plus
- Daily use of AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent); you should be a power user
Nice to Haves:
- Experience building SaaS, platform, or marketplace products
- Knowledge & experience of marketplace network effects
- LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks
- Interest in UX refinement
- Proven ability to build automated document processing pipelines for extracting, parsing, and structuring information from large volumes of unstructured data (contracts, PDFs, or equivalent)
- Practical knowledge of semantic retrieval and document search technologies, including OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or vector-based search implementations
- Hands-on experience leveraging LLM or NLP techniques to derive structured insights from text, including entity recognition, classification, summarisation, and targeted clause extraction
Your Experience
You have at least 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of building and shipping full stack features in production environments. We care about what you've built and how you think, less about where you studied or which logos are on your CV.Who You Are
- You are well-established in your career and can talk to specific examples of successes for which you have been responsible
- You likely build things and learn outside of work because you're genuinely curious
- You're fast, pragmatic, and focused on output over process
- You're a mature, honest communicator, especially when things aren't going to plan
- You ask sharp questions and push back when something doesn't make sense
- You want to shape a product, not just execute against a backlog
- You see AI tooling as a genuine competitive advantage
- You work hard and get the job done when it needs to get done
- You understand how startups operate, and want to work that way
In Return, You'll Receive
- ₹26–29 LPA, to be agreed with the right candidate
- High autonomy and direct influence over product and technical direction
- The chance to build something that reaches users across 80+ countries
- A supportive, innovative team environment in which you can grow & develop your skills
- The chance to deliver high-impact, measurable outputs
